Moody's Moody's Corporation VolunteersOn the week of International Corporate Philanthropy Day, Moody's will recognize the philanthropic efforts of the company through a series of events and communications.

Annual Volunteer Fairs
Moody’s will host its 9th Annual Volunteer Fair for all headquarters employees and its 2nd Annual Volunteer Fair for London employees. Eight to ten different nonprofits will be showcased during lunch hours and employees will have an opportunity to meet with the different nonprofits and learn what volunteer opportunities each organization has available. A "Giving Card" for all employees
A few weeks ago, The Moody’s Foundation distributed $25 “giving cards” to all employees through Global Giving and DonorsChoose.org. Through Global Giving and DonorsChoose.org, Moody’s employees are given the opportunity to redeem their giving card to support a philanthropic project of their choice. In addition to increasing awareness of The Moody’s Foundation, the Giving Card Program is designed to encourage personal philanthropic behavior.

To generate enthusiasm about the program as the deadline draws to a close on March 1, posters will be on display to highlight some of the unique organizations that employees have already donated to and a large thermometer showing the percentage of employees who have already redeemed their giving cards.

Boardnet USA Learn @ Lunch session
Moody’s will host an informational Learn @ Lunch session for all headquarters employees with our grantee, Boardnet USA. Boardnet USA is a resource that provides the opportunity for individuals interested in nonprofit board service to connect with boards needing new leadership. (3/1/12)

Moody’s Interview University
Moody’s new volunteer program for 2012, Moody’s Interview University, was created to meet the growing need for mock interview opportunities for The Moody’s Foundation grantees and community partners in a professional setting. Students are invited to visit Moody’s for a 90 minute “mock interview” session, where a student will participate in practice interviews with Moody’s employees. In order to accommodate both the employee schedules and the student’s availability, two sessions will be offered from 12:00 p.m. –1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. The program operates similarly to a “speed dating” model. Moody’s Interview University provides employees a convenient volunteer opportunity without ever leaving the office. (3/2/12)
