Valuing Pro Bono Service

As one of the fastest growing volunteer programs among leading global companies, Pro Bono service represents approximately 18% of a company’s overall non-cash giving. In order to equip businesses to easily apply a monetary value to Pro Bono service, CECP partnered with the Taproot Foundation to develop a standard and guide for the average per hour value of their employee’s Pro Bono service, depending on the seniority level and skill function of the employee. This is the next best alternative to using “Fair Market Value (FMV)” for services provided, which can be a challenging task without the right resources.
