Company Priorities Drive the Agenda for CECP Accelerate Communities in 2020

Over the past twenty years, and particularly in the midst of challenging times, companies have turned to CECP as a trusted advisory to provide necessary company connection and discussion as well as proprietary data and insights around the role of companies and the strategies they employ.
CECP launched Accelerate Communities in 2017 as a response to companies asking for further opportunities for peer connection focused on specific issue areas. Corporate responsibility leaders were seeking more robust insights to advance their companies’ priorities and in turn, to advance the field. Our Accelerate Communities offer companies an opportunity to connect with curated CECP and partner experts as well as peer companies to take a deep dive into priority focus areas and share challenges and best practices they have encountered in building their strategies.

Our new Accelerate Communities launching in September 2020 will again provide a space for leaders to connect on critical topics like Reinventing Purpose Communications, the Future of Work, and Social Investment Measurement. Each community offers six bi-monthly meetings with peers and experts, along with eight hours of virtual strategic advisement with CECP. Community members will have the opportunity to share examples and case studies from their companies with fellow members and experts throughout the year.

Social Investment Measurement – Identify how to better track, measure, and report on vital corporate purpose/social impact/ESG metrics and their core business benefits with a focus on internal stakeholders. Reinventing Purpose Communications – Learn how corporate responsibility leaders ensure their company’s social impact story is communicated in a captivating, concise way across a range of stakeholders to drive deeper engagement and a purpose-driven culture. This community will share effective practices for engaging customers, employees, investors, supply chain partners, grantees, and society according to their varied expectations and needs. Future of Work – CSR leaders have long been critical to helping craft their companies’ workforce strategies in unique ways. CECP believes that when CSR strategy is aligned with a company’s own workforce development strategy in an integrated approach, there are better results for both. This is reinforced by the learnings from our past Accelerate Research and Community work on Systemic Investments in Equity, Talent & Tech and Diversity & Inclusion in Corporate Social Engagement. This community will bring together the best research, knowledge and experts on these topics, in a forum for companies to share and learn together with fellow CSR leaders and HR peers.
